Pharmaceuticals companies looking for more sustainable packaging materials have a new option in Diofan Ultra736, a polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) coating with ultra-high water vapor barrier from Brussels-based Solvay. A massive explosion rocked a major petrochemical facility of Mexican national oil company Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) in the Gulf state of Veracruz on September 20, killing at least three people, injuring dozens more, and pushing a cloud of chemicals into the sky.
