Multifunctional Additive for Powder Coating Improves Dispersal During Extrusion

A new multifunctional polymer additive for powder coating formulations features easier dispersal during extrusion, according to Evonik’s Coating Additives business. Tego Powder Aid D01 achieves this by promoting pigment wetting and reducing melt viscosity, said the company. Tektite Industries acquires C&M Mold and Tool to add in-house mold tooling capabilities

Trenton, N.J. lighting manufacturer Tektite Industries Inc. has acquired the assets of Pennsylvania-based C&M Mold and Tool Co. effective Sept. 1. The “strategic move for both companies,” Scott Mele, president and owner of Tektite told Plastics News in an email, was “up and fully running” by Nov. 15.
