Extrusion 2023 Conference: Call for Papers Coming Soon
The clock is ticking on the Call for Papers for The Extrusion 2023 Conference. If you are interested in participating, please let us know by July 30.
Plastics Technology is bringing the world of extrusion to Indiana at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, October 10-12 for The Extrusion 2023 Conference. During this event, business owners, plant managers, process engineers and manufacturing personnel will be brought up to speed on technology developments impacting all types of extrusion operations.
Each day will consist of a General Session that will be of interest to all extrusion processors, as well as an afternoon of concurrent sessions that will drill down into specific processes: Film, Sheet, Compounding, and Pipe/Profile/Tubing.
With the exception of 2020, when the conference was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, The Extrusion Conference has been an annual, must-attend event since we launched it in 2015. This year, though, we are adding a new wrinkle.
The focus of this year’s Extrusion Conference will be on sustainability.
Sustainability is driving decisions in the plastics processing market worldwide, including the world of extrusion. As a result, the focus of this year’s Extrusion Conference will be on sustainability. This means all presentations should address that subject in a meaningful way. This could mean source reduction, gearing up to use recycled materials, using “green” resins/biopolymers, minimizing scrap, screws designs for PCR, expediting product changeovers, thin-gauging, utilizing more energy-efficient machinery, and so forth.
