Plastics Technology continues to accept submissions for its annual Top Shops Benchmarking Survey for injection molders, but the window to finish your survey and open a  window onto your business is quickly closing. The free, anonymous survey will close on April 30, after which time, the Gardner Intelligence unit of Plastics Technology’s publisher, Gardner Business Media, will begin processing the submitted data to see which molders’ constitute the cream of this year’s crop. A synopsis of the finalized data and a listing of 2023’s Top Shops will appear in the October issue of PT.

Over the course of the data processing, a free customized report is created for each participant that completed the survey, showing the individual shop how its performance across key metrics like scrap rate, mold change time, capacity utilization and order lead time, among others, ranks compared to all survey participants. From this analysis, molders can determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within their operations when compared to that of their peers.
